Can any mug be printed on?
Not any mug will do the job. It must be prepared for sublimation printing and must be white in order to get the perfect colours. This is because colour adds up in the sublimation process so, if you print on a coloured mug, the design merges with its colours.
Can you sublimate on regular mugs?
If the coffee mug is glazed ceramic you should be able to sublimation print without any coating at all. Your sublimation paper should have a guide on time and temperatures.
Can you use Cricut Mini on mugs?

A fantastic and simple way to personalise a mug is to use the familiar Sharpie brand pens to ink a hand-drawn design on the mug. The oil-based Sharpies work best to create long-lasting designs. All you have to do is draw out your design, let it dry, then bake twice to set the ink.
Can you sublimate a mug without a mug press?
Do you want to sublimate a coffee mug but don’t have a mug press? Use your oven! See how below. 4- Place your mug in an oven set to 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 minutes.
What lasts longer sublimation or screen printing?
Both methods, when properly executed, will produce long-lasting prints that won’t crack or fade after repeated washing. Dye sublimation prints are cured with the heat press during the application of the design, while screen printing ink must be heated after printing for proper curing.
