What temperature can a mug withstand?
Typically 140 F is the ideal heat for a coffee mug. This means that any coffee served at temperatures above 140F will burn, so we recommend 140F as the ideal temperature.
Can mugs break from heat?
Very unlikely. Mugs crack when their temperature rapidly changes ( hot -> cold or cold -> hot ). The hot liquid in the mug will do a great job of keeping the mug warm in spite of the cold air of the freezer. If you are putting an empty mug into the freezer it won’t break.
